The Artist

As an artist, I seek to con­nect with my view­ers emo­tion­ally through visual imagery, employ­ing skill­ful tech­niques that merge tra­di­tional pho­tog­ra­phy, design and com­po­si­tion, and a widely var­ied mix­ture of nat­ural media, with the infi­nite pos­si­bil­i­ties afforded through mod­ern dig­i­tal imagery and dig­i­tal paint­ing. Like the world around us, so is my work – an ever-changing kalei­do­scope of imagery con­vey­ing emo­tion, color, tex­tures, pat­terns and exper­i­ments with tech­nique – a cre­ative inter­ac­tion of the old with the new – an excit­ing adven­ture of explo­ration and dis­cov­ery. Through these inspired cre­ative works, I chal­lenge my view­ers to seek for them­selves the abun­dance of life’s hid­den trea­sures in the com­mon famil­iar­ity of their own every­day life experiences.

With over 30 years expe­ri­ence and over 200 awards for excel­lence in the field of graphic design, I still work as a designer to pay the bills. I won’t often turn down an oppor­tu­nity to earn some extra free­lance income, but fine art and fine art pho­tog­ra­phy imagery is where my heart is, and it’s what I do for the sheer fun of it. It’s what I do to stay sane and socially functional…or a rea­son­able fac­sim­ile thereof.
